Oilon Group
The family-owned Oilon Group, founded in 1961, is a developing environmental and energy technology company. In Finland the group includes the administrative parent company, Oilon International Oy, and four subsidiaries. Two of the subsidiaries, Oilon Oy and Oilon Energy Oy, produce industrial, power plant, and process burners for liquid and gaseous fuels. The Finnish organization also includes Oilon Home Oy which specializes in domestic heating solutions such as ground source heat pumps, air to water heat pumps, solar heat collectors, oil and bio-oil burners, and hybrid combinations of all these technologies. Finally, Ecopower Technology Oy specializes in innovative pressurized combustion systems.
The company’s foreign offices include sales offices Oilon GmbH in Germany, OOO Oilon in St. Petersburg, Moscow and Ekaterinburg in Russia, Oilon Polska Sp.z o.o. in Poland and Oilon China Ltd. in Hong Kong and Wuxi in mainland China. The Chinese production company, Oilon Burners (Wuxi) Co. Ltd., delivers industrial burners mostly in China and other Asian countries. Over 45 million EUR turnover is generated by some 300 employees. Oilon has representatives in most European countries as well as in Asia, Russia, North and South America, and some African countries.
Oilon invests more than 5 % of its annual turnover in product development. The renovated Oilon R&D Centre is a two-storey modern laboratory including standardised combustion chambers ranging from 20 kW to 8 MW, facilities to study hybrid domestic heating systems, and modern computational tools to study fluid flow and combustion. The most important R&D goals at Oilon are extremely low emissions (such as NOx and particulate matter), high efficiency, ease of maintenance, and elegant design. Furthermore, Oilon has worked for many years on the combustion of biogases and bio oils, and it is also one of the world’s biggest suppliers of combustion solutions for process gases and hazardous waste disposal plants. Excellent results obtained in emission reduction contribute significantly to prevent the environmental problems caused by energy production.
