Corrosion Control International
CCI traces its history through the UK and NICC Inc, which was founded in the USA in 1986 to satisfy the order requirement of the PA NY/NJ (Port Authority New York/New Jersey) for Phase 1 of LGA Airport under runway refurbishment, and later Florida Light and Power for the protection of high voltage mono and multi piles high voltage transmission towers.
In 1996 the company changed its name to CCI LLC and was acquired by Slickbar in 1996. In 2008 Lamor Group acquired Slickbar and therefore also the CCI business. In 2009 Lamor spun off the CCI business division to a newly founded Finnish based Company, CCI Oy.
Corrosion Control International (CCI) is recognized as an industry leader in the design, production, and installation of inshore and offshore subsea and splash zone corrosion control systems. CCI developed its patented, cold, applied Retrowrap® systems for retrofit protection of pilings, risers, and pipelines as an alternative to factory coatings for new underwater construction in remote areas for quick and easy installation.
Engineered to be the best product on the market, Retrowrap provides years of worry-free protection. Its triple layer construction consists of an outer urethane coating, polyamide reinforcing scrim and a polyester felt inner layer. All three layers are simultaneously bonded together to form a monocoque fabric.
This unique construction can be varied by altering the coating thickness or modifying the fabric, which allows us to change physical characteristics such as induced hoop tension, impact and abrasion resistance and puncture strength. This capability permits us to supply different Retrowrap models for various applications:
• Standard Retrowrap – inshore pile protection
• Retrowrap HD – heavy-duty offshore riser protection
• Retrowrap SL – offshore conductor connector and riser clamp liner protection
• The Gorilla (Antivort VIV Suppression) – deep water vortices protection
• Timberwrap – protects wood pilings from marine borers
• Anode Wrap – for rebar protection within concreted piles
• Laywrap – used in field joint operations to connect dissimilar coatings
• Sub Sea Field Joint Repair Kit
