Cleantech Finland for Russia project launched

Cleantech Finland® has launched a two-year Cleantech Finland for Russia project. Finland and Vodokanal of St. Petersburg celebrate their 20 years of cooperation today. Cleantech Finland for Russia attends the jubilee seminar and the anniversary celebrations in St. Petersburg.

Cleantech Finland for Russia project is aimed at promoting networking with key Russian decision-makers, partners, project contacts and financiers. This enhances the cooperation between Finnish cleantech companies and the Russian cleantech sector. The project also includes sector-specific activities and generates publicity for the Finnish cleantech companies. The start-up date for the project was in Spring 2009. The Ministry of the Environment supports the Cleantech Finland for Russia project.

"Cleantech Finland for Russia offers Finnish companies good contacts with potential clients and investors. It also helps to share knowledge, offers market information and provides the companies with publicity in local media. Cleantech Finland for Russia can also help set up meetings where local experts can share essential information regarding the Russian market", Helena Sarén from Finpro Helsinki says.

The Vodokanal is celebrated on 9th and 10th of June. The construction of the treatment plant has been Finland´s largest single regional environmental co-operation project. The Minister of the Environment, Paula Lehtomäki, and 60 organizations attend the ceremony from Finland.
