KONE elevators and escalators to enable smooth people flow across Ningtian Intercity Rail Line in China

KONE has won an order to supply 41 KONE MonoSpace® elevators and 76 KONE TransitMaster® escalators for the first phase of the Ningtian Intercity Rail Line in the city of Nanjing, China.

The 45 km long rail line will link the Luhe and Pukou districts of Nanjing, the second-largest commercial center in Eastern China after Shanghai. The metro line will be composed of 17 stations, including eleven elevated stations and six underground ones.

Vacon starts manufacture of solar inverters in India

Vacon has begun the production of solar inverters in the company's factory in Bangalore, India.

Vacon's solar inverters, rated from 10 to 1,200 kW, are cabinet-installed systems, and they are based on Vacon's state-of-the-art AC drive technology. Vacon's factory in Bangalore manufactures products primarily for the Indian market. The products are for the power ranges of 10 to 200 kW and 1,000 kW.

Pöyry contributes to regeneration of Swedish electricity grids with engineering assignment

Svenska Kraftnät, the Swedish National Grid, has awarded Pöyry an engineering assignment within an ongoing framework agreement. The project is part of a large scale investment plan for the regeneration of the Swedish national and regional electricity grids.

The assignment for Svenska Kraftnät, Ekhyddan-Barkeryd, includes detailed planning, engineering and support during the construction phase of a 120 km long power line.

Fortum inaugurates first waste-to-energy combined heat and power plant in the Baltics

Fortum has inaugurated a new combined heat and power plant in the city of Klaipeda, Lithuania. The plant uses municipal and industrial waste as well as biomass as fuels and is the first power plant of its kind in the Baltic countries.
